This year, The New York Botanical Garden exclusively invites guests to enjoy an after-dark viewing of the Holiday Train Show at Bar Car Nights. Sip on prosecco while strolling through a series of station stops, ice sculpture carvings and delicious and festive treats from Frosty’s Schnapps Haus. Each year, the Haupt Conservatory hosts more than 150 New York landmarks re-created with nuts, bark, leaves and more as model trains cover a quarter-mile of track and bring life to this traditional holiday landscape. Members and non-members can get into the holiday spirit under the magical glow of twinkling lights from now until the end of January. Anything can happen on a snow day, even if it is a planned one. On January 23, head to Central Park for Winter Jam. The once a year event will take place from 11am to 3pm and the bandshell area of the park will be covered with blown-in snow. Kids and adults alike that have the need for speed are invited to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and games.
